The recent increase in fuel prices has adversely affected the bakery industry, said N.K. Jayawardena, President of the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association.
Speaking at a media briefing, he said that an urgent price adjustment is needed to protect the industry in the face of the increasing fuel prices. Accordingly, a decision will be made today to increase the prices of bakery products, and the revised prices will be announced after a discussion held this morning.
