The Mawbima and Ceylon Today newspapers, which have been operating in the country for more than 14 years, have decided to close down abruptly.
The front pages of the Mawbima and Ceylon Today newspapers released today (04) stated that from now on they will be operating exclusively in the digital space. The news item states that although the daily newspaper will be closed, the Sunday Mawbima newspaper will continue to be published as a printed newspaper.
Mawbima and Ceylon Today newspapers were printed by a company owned by former Minister Tiran Alles.
