Commercial satellite imagery has revealed what appears to be a US strike on Iran’s main nuclear facility, Natanz, an international research firm says.
This is believed to be the first strike on an Iranian nuclear facility since the start of joint US-Israeli airstrikes.
According to the Institute for Science and International Security, images taken by the Vantor Institute in Colorado show that two entrances to the Natanz underground uranium enrichment facility were hit.
The nature and extent of the attack are believed to have occurred between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, according to research reports.

The other building covered the only access road to the underground halls.
The nuclear facility was previously hit by a US attack last June, and this time the attack is reported to have targeted potentially repairable machinery.
