Our correspondents say that due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East, there are currently long queues to obtain fuel in many provinces of Sri Lanka.
However, the Ceylon Petroleum Distributors Association says that consumers should not have unnecessary fears as there is currently sufficient fuel reserves in the country for 37 days.
D.V. Shantha Silva, an executive committee member of the association, expressed his views in this regard and stated that even though today is a Sunday, fuel distribution activities will continue today and fuel distribution activities will be carried out on the Poya Day tomorrow as well.
