The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has granted permission to detain and question retired Major General Suresh Salle, the former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SISS), who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in connection with the investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, for 90 days. The relevant detention order has been signed by the Defense Secretary.
Suresh Salle was arrested on Wednesday (25) morning while on his way to work at a private institution in Peliyagoda.
