Teenage pregnancies on the rise in Badulla

Child Affairs Minister Saroja Savitri Paulraj says that the number of young women getting pregnant at an early age has increased in the Badulla district. She said this while participating in a program held at the Badulla District Secretariat Auditorium yesterday (6).

The program reported that young women facing such situations need strong protection, but there is no proper place for it, and that cyberbullying has increased as a new trend in Badulla.

Meanwhile, another fact revealed here is that the highest number of attacks on children by parents occurs in Badulla. However, the minister added that the highest number of child crimes in Sri Lanka occur in the Welikanda area of ​​Polonnaruwa.
