Death toll from severe weather exceeds 330 .

The total number of people affected by the disaster situation affecting the island has increased to 1,118,929, according to the latest status report issued by the Disaster Management Center.

309,607 families covering 25 districts have been affected by this situation.

The total number of people who have died due to this disaster situation is 334, while 370 people are reported missing.

The highest number of deaths (88) and the highest number of missing (150) have been reported from the Kandy district.

High numbers have also been reported from the Badulla (71 deaths, 53 missing) and Nuwara Eliya (68 deaths, 64 missing) districts.

196,790 people from 55,747 families displaced by the disaster are staying in 1,494 shelters set up across the island.

180 shelters have been established in the Badulla district, housing 22,373 people.

16,934 people are staying in 104 shelters in the Colombo district, and 18,190 people are staying in 104 shelters in the Gampaha district.
