Doctors decide to intensify the trade union action.

The Government Medical Officers Association says that if a positive solution is not provided to the demands presented by their association, the trade union action that has already begun will have to be intensified.

Issuing a statement, the association states that the President agreed with the proposals of their association during a discussion with the President on Monday (17). Accordingly, the doctors say that their association requested the President to announce a program with a specific time frame for the implementation of those proposals.

A discussion was also held with the Minister of Health in this regard, but the Government Medical Officers Association says that no credible solution or program has been announced to protect the country’s doctors and health services so far.

Accordingly, the association says that it expects the Health Minister to announce a clear set of solutions to resolve these issues with a time frame as the Health Ministry Committee debate on the third reading of the budget will be held tomorrow.
