Deniyaya Kotapola Cooperative Election: A heavy defeat for the government.

The opposition group has easily secured power in the election held to elect representatives to the Deniyaya Kotapola Multi-Service Cooperative.
In the election held, the group supported by the National People’s Power Group was able to win by only 33 seats. The group supported by the opposition groups won by 67 seats.
