A truck carrying a 76-meter-long blade of wind turbine that was being transported to Mannar to be installed on a turbine at a wind mill met with an accident this afternoon (02).
The truck overturned near the Trincomalee Port entrance, causing damage to several buildings on the port grounds. The massive wind turbine, weighing about 36 tons, was being prepared for transport by truck when the accident occurred.
