Participating in the ceremony held at the Peliyagoda Vidyalankara International Buddhist Conference Hall today (02) to mark the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Peliyagoda Vidyalankara Maha Pirivena, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that he expects the support of the Maha Sangha for the program to eliminate the drug menace from the country.
The President points out that all parties should work together for this program without any ethnic, religious or political differences.
The Maha Sangha, current government ministers, opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Sarva Jana Balaye leader MP Dilith Jayaweera, former Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and a large number of politicians from various fields participated in this event.
