Professor Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri says that the fact that the information requested under the Right to Information Act has not been provided by the Presidential Media Unit using certain provisions of the Act has been controversial.
The professor states that the reason for not providing this information is to prevent the JVP cadres attached to the Presidential Media Unit from being exposed.
Stating that the government has no right to hide a group of people who receive salaries from the public money and that he does not approve of it, Nirmal Dewasiri also emphasizes that the JVP Pelawatta office is the center of state power. He made this statement online.
