Ampitiye Sumanarathana Thero, the incumbent of the Batticaloa Sri Mangalaramadhipathi, has been arrested by the police. The arrest was made following an incident of disorderly conduct at the Uhana Police Station in Ampara.
It is reported that the suspect had behaved in a disorderly manner inside the police station after protesting against the unsafe transportation of his two children in a three-wheeler while being arrested by the Uhana Police.
