Sri Lankan women beat India .

Sri Lanka defeated India by 3 wickets in the women’s one-day cricket match for the Servo Trophy today (4). Batting first, India scored 275 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. Richa Ghosh scored 58 runs to lift the Indian innings.

Sugandika Kumari (3/44) and Chamari Atapattu (3/43) bowled well for Sri Lanka, taking 3 wickets each.

Chasing a target of 276 runs, Sri Lankan women’s batsmen managed to score 278 runs in the last over (49.1) of the match for the loss of 7 wickets. Harshita Samarawickrama (53) and Nilakshika Silva (56) were the captains of Sri Lanka’s victory, scoring half-centuries.

This was the first time in 7 years that a Sri Lankan women’s cricket team had defeated India in an ODI. Sri Lanka had last defeated India in 2018.

Nilakshika Silva won the award as the heroine of the match, who scored an attacking 56 runs in 33 balls.

With this victory, Sri Lanka has won 2 out of 3 matches played in this tournament so far and still retains the second position in the points table.

India is at the top, while South Africa, which has yet to win a single match, is in last place.
