Former Gampaha District Parliamentarian Upul Mahendra Rajapaksa, who split from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in the last presidential election and supported Ranil Wickremesinghe, has rejoined the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
He announced his support for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna while participating in a meeting in Attanagalla, Gampaha today.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has recently launched a program to appoint a leader for each village, and the meeting in the Attanagalla electorate in Gampaha was held today.
Former ministers Johnston Fernando, Indika Anuruddha, former MP Upul Mahendra Rajapaksa and a group of former local government representatives attended this meeting.
