Minister of Women and Child Affairs Saroja Savitri Paulraj said that her husband, who is a doctor, and she personally have two vehicles, but they cannot be used for official work.
Accordingly, she stated that in the future she will have to use a vehicle provided by the ministry. She says that even during the election period, she used a vehicle provided by friends. However, she stated that she hopes to use a vehicle that suits the responsibility assigned to her and suits the country’s economy.
She also pointed out that she is currently in a situation where she commutes from Matara to Colombo daily, and therefore she is in the position of needing a house in a suitable place. She made these comments while participating in a discussion on a television channel.
