The police suspect that the death of three members of the same family in a fire that broke out in a house in Sinhapura area of Chillaw may be a murder. Police Media Spokesman DIG Advocate Nihal Talduwa stated that the Chillaw Headquarters Police has started a special investigation in this regard.
The fire broke out in a two-storied house in Sinhapura area at around 6 am this morning.
The bodies of three people were found during the subsequent inspection.

The dead body of the mother was found on the bed in the downstairs bedroom of the house and the police said that her throat had been cut.
After conducting the Magistrate’s investigation this afternoon, the dead bodies were taken to Halawata Base Hospital.
