The Bangladesh cricket authorities have immediately suspended the services of Chandika Hathurusingha, who served as the head coach of the Bangladesh cricket team, on disciplinary resons.
It is reported that his service has been suspended for 48 hours and that his service will be terminated with immediate effect. Former West Indies player Phil Simmons will be the interim coach till the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Last February, Hathurusingha joined the team for the second time as the head cricket coach of Bangladesh.
