President Ranil Wickramasinghe has issued a gazette yesterday making all services related to electricity supply and petroleum production and fuel supply or distribution essential services. .
Through this gazette announcement, the President has decreed that these services provided by any government corporation, department, local government body, cooperative society or their branch are essential services to maintain the normal life of the people.
