Kabir Hashim agrees to form a national government

Samagi Jana Balawega Member of Parliament Kabir Hashim states that if a national government can be formed without party politics, it will lead to the good of the country.

But it is said that a question arises whether the political party will agree for a common purpose during the unofficial election period.

He said this in response to a query about the President’s invitation on May to unite for the sake of national aspirations. He also mentioned that the official opinion about the President’s invitation should be expressed after an internal discussion by the party leaders.

He pointed out that even when Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa left the presidency, a national government should have been established, but for whatever reasons, that opportunity was lost.
