The court has issued an injunction in relation to a protest organized today (02) in front of the Fort Railway Station by several parties including the Inter-University Student Union.
Accordingly, it is reported that the Fort Magistrate’s Court has accepted a request made by the Station Commander of the Fort Police to prevent the entry of protesters from the Presidential Secretariat, Ceramic Junction to the NSA Roundabout and from there to Scout Road.
The protest has been organized against the Social Media and Anti-Terrorism Act, and the order has been issued against 9 protesters including Madushan Chandrajith, Galvewa Siridamma Thero, Duminda Nagamuwa, Joseph Stalin, Dhammika Munasinghe, Thanne Gnananda Thero.
