The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that water charges will have to be increased by 3% from January 2024.
The water supply board says that the current 15% VAT has been increased to 18%, so the water charges have to be increased in this way. The revised new VAT will come into effect from January and the VAT (Amendment) Bill was passed in Parliament on December 11.
