The railway control room stated that the train operation on the upcountry line which was halted due to the derailment of a special express train from Badulla to Kandy yesterday (15) has now been restored.
Nawalapitiya Railway Control Office confirmed that steps were taken to restore the damaged track at around 3.40 am today (16) due to the derailment that took place between Grateweston and Radella stations of the upcunrty Railway.
