Three policemen who forgot the helicopter and went to plant trees were transferred

According to the report, three police officers, including the OIC of the Traffic Division of the Rajanganaya Police, who were assigned to guard a private helicopter carrying an invited guest to a tree planting ceremony held at Yaya 18 in Rajanganaya, have been transferred.

These three officials have been transferred due to participating in the tree planting ceremony while forgetting the safety of the helicopter.

Several government officials were also present for this tree planting program organized by the people of the area, and it has been revealed in preliminary investigations that the organizers have invited the police officers deployed to protect the helicopter to participate in the program.

The transfers have been implemented as per an order given by a senior police officer of the North Central Province to the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Anuradhapura Division, Jayantha Pushpakumara, after the videos related to this event were circulated in social media.
