Three coal ships arrive at the island

According to the report, 03 ships carrying 180,000 metric tons of coal have reached the island today.

Accordingly, a spokesperson of Lanka Coal Company said that 19 of the 30 coal ships ordered have reached the island so far. 180,000 metric tons of coal has been carried by the three ships

Apart from that, 03 other coal ships are currently sailing to the island, said Shehan Sumanasekara, Chairman of Ceylon Coal Company.

The required amount of coal per day to operate the plant at full capacity is 7500 metric tons.
