National People’s Power MP Nilanthi Kottachchi stated that this year’s budget has confirmed that the country’s leader is a leader who cares about animals.
She also said that the government’s attitude towards animals can be understood by allocating Rs. 100 million for the sterilization and welfare of street dogs. She also said that this way, the country’s thinking can be understood according to the country’s leader’s thinking.
She also pointed out that the government has allocated money from the budget to solve that problem while making decisions to put stray dogs in gas chambers and inject them with cyanide. She expressed these views while participating in the budget debate in Parliament.
