President Ranil Wickramasinghe has instructed the relevant officials to prepare a formal program with the aim of maintaining the essential and public services without interruption during the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The Presidential Media Division (PMD) says that this order has been given to ensure that all essential services are maintained without any interruption during the festive season.
The President has emphasized that essential institutions such as the Presidential Secretariat, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries of Defence, Health, Transport and Power and Energy should work together to prepare this program.
In addition to this, the President has instructed the security forces to implement a comprehensive program for the protection of public safety and law and order throughout the country for the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year season.
