The “New Alliance” political party organized by MP Nimal Lansa held its first public rally today. Members of Parliament Nimal Lanza, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Minister Susil Premajayant and many other guests joined the public meeting held in the center of Jaela city.
This alliance, which has been established for a new political purpose, is going to show its support to the current President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election. Political sources say that the alliance has already entered into negotiations with several political parties and in the next few weeks, the necessary legal agreements for the alliance with those parties will be completed.
Also, it is reported that talks are going to be started for alliance with several other parties including Sri Lanka Freedam Party.
