Seventy-sixth National Day National Independence Day Celebration The national anthem was sung in both Sinhala and Tamil languages at the National Independence Day celebration held today at Galle Face green.
The National Anthem was sung in Sinhala at the beginning of the ceremony and in Tamil at the end.
This year’s Independence Festival was not open to the public, and cultural elements were not held. The independence ceremony, which was limited to military dignitaries only, was held with the participation of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and many dignitaries.
