It is reported that a proposal is to be submitted to the House Committee of the Parliament that the house rent of the Madivela MP housing complex built for MPs is one thousand rupees and that the rent and late rent interest should be increased.
This housing complex was built in the year 1994 and the initial house rent was five hundred rupees. Later it was raised to Rs1000.00.
Due to the high cost reported for the maintenance of MP’s houses, a proposal to increase the rent amount and the interest charged for late house rents is to be submitted to the House Committee of the parliment in the next few days.
