Colombo Additional Magistrate Nuwan Kaushalya today (13) ordered that the suspect, who was accused of attacking four cars with a sharp weapon while riding a motorcycle, be remanded until the 22nd.
When the suspect was produced before the court by the Welikada Police, it was revealed that he was a 29-year-old youth from Ragama.
The police informed the court that he was a heavy drug addict and that medical reports had confirmed that ice and heroin were present in his body even when he was arrested and presented to the Judicial Medical Officer.
This suspect was previously arrested on drug charges and released after undergoing rehabilitation at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Center.
