Troops of the Sri Lankan Army’s Combat Vehicle Protection Unit, which provides security for fuel-carrying bowsers and cargo trucks in Mali, have discovered a high-powered landmine.
During a search operation from Tessalit to Gao in the state of Mali, the 4th team of the Army’s Combat Vehicle Security Division found this high-powered bomb buried in a desert sand road. The army suspects that this landmine is targeting the convoy of the peacekeeping force.
