Specialist community physician Indeevari Gunaratne said that 35 malaria patients have been identified in Sri Lanka in the past ten months of this year, and all of them are people who have returned from foreign countries where malaria is prevalent.
She said that all of them had returned from countries such as India, Thailand, Myanmar, and abroad for work and gem business, and that 34 of those patients have now fully recovered and only one person has died.
