It is reported that a National List Member of the Podujana Peramuna, who represents the current Parliament, has resigned and instead, the party is preparing to bring lawyer Chamari Perera, the wife of the recently deceased State Minister Sanath Nishantha, to the Parliament.
It has been learned that the internal discussions of the party have already started regarding this proposal, and the Member of Parliament Namal Rajapakse has been involved in it. It is known that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has expressed his agreement to it.
State minister Sanath Nishantha is an Rajapaksha sauppoeter, he also paid Namal Rajapaksa’s 26 lakh rupees electricity bill which was not settled recently.
