The police have arrested five civil society activists who started a protest village called ‘Kehelia Go Gama’ in front of the Colombo Criminal Investigation Department yesterday afternoon. The ‘Kehelia Go Gama’ Bannar they had was taken into custody of the police.
Several civil organizations started a satyagraha yesterday in front of the Criminal Investigation Department demanding the arrest of Keheliya Rambukwella in connection with the vaccine fraud in question.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General has informed the G.I.D for the second time to get a statement from Environment Minister Keheliya Rambukwella in relation to the vaccine fraud case.
Accordingly, the Criminal Investigation Division informed Mr. Rambukwella to come and give a statement yesterday.
However, his media unit has announced that he was unable to appear at the Criminal Investigation Department due to some essential duties and requested another date.
