Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that the President has ordered to call the armed forces in order to maintain public order.
He said this when the Parliament met today and the speaker further said that this decree was issued according to the powers assigned to the President by the twelfth section of the Public Security Act which was the fortieth authority of the constitution.
