Petrol vehicle owners will be able to get fuel from the QR code-based fuel quota system from midnight today (11) until April 18, 2026, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said. The decision has been taken in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year season.
However, the ‘odd-even’ numbering system for fuel distribution based on the last digit of the vehicle’s number plate will continue to operate as usual for all vehicles, CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna explained.
