A discussion between a group including International Monetary Fund’s head of operations for Sri Lanka Peter Breuer and representatives of the National People’s Power was held yesterday (18) at the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna’s head office Pelawatte.
Member of Parliament Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, representing National People’s Power Economic Council Sunil Hadunnetthi, Professor Anil Jayantha, Economic Analyst Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma and National Executive Member Muditha Nanayakkara participated in this event.
In addition to Mr. Peter Brewer, representing the International Monetary Fund, Sarwath Jahan and Manavi Abeywickrama, the IMF’s resident representative, also participated in the event, according to a statement issued by the party.
But the announcement does not mention what matters were discussed there.
