Yesterday (20) the Employees’ Trust Fund filed a case against popular actress Sabitha Perera, her husband and their business before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court for failing to pay nearly 2 lakh rupees in contributions and surcharges.
The Employees’ Trust Fund has filed a case on the allegation of non-payment of contributions and surcharges amounting to Rupees One Hundred Eighty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Ninety Nine (1,88,599).
The defendants in this case are popular actress Sabita Janaki residing at No. 176/1 Vijayaba Mawatha, Nawala, Don Upali Jayasinghe residing at No. 284, Jayawardenepura Road, Perera Kotte and their company D.P. Jayasinghe Tours and Transport Company (Pvt.) Limited located at No. 717, Baseline Road, Colombo 9. has been named. The case is scheduled to be called before Colombo Additional Magistrate Pavithra Sanjeevani Pathirana.
