The latest phase of the Jayagamu Sri Lanka programme kicked off today (22) at the Edward Ground in Matale, under the patronage of the Minister.
The programme is organized by the Ministry of Labour and Foreign Employment with the aim of bringing all the services provided by the institutes under the Ministry’s purview to the public’s doorstep.
Under this programme, the Garusaru program, which aims to promote the dignity of labour among informal sector workers, and the Smart Youth program, which aims to provide a platform for youth to realize their dreams, will be held. Along with the Smart Youth programme, vocational training will be provided to 10,000 youth with the support of the President’s fund.
Special awareness programs will also be held at the event for foreign job aspirants. The programme will take place today (22) and tomorrow (23) at the Edward Ground.
