Health workers are protesting today demanding the DAT allowance of doctors

It is reported that several health trade unions are going to engage in a protest this afternoon (30), asking the DAT allowance to them as well.

Mr. Shanaka Bopitiya, Secretary of Sri Lanka Public Inspectors Association, said that personnel including nurses, paramedics, paramedics, management services junior staff will join it.

According to the report, Tamipitiya Sugathananda Thero, General Secretary of the United Health Workers Union, came to the Ministry of Health yesterday (29) and handed over a letter requesting that the staff workers’ allowance be increased by 8000 rupees by January 30.
