Minister Harin Fernando has even entrusted the operations of three institutions under his purview to the Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs.
The institutions so assigned are the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency, the Sports Medicine Institute and the National Sports Academy. Apart from this, the State Minister has also been given the power to implement the Anti-Doping Convention Act.
The relevant gazette notification has been issued by Minister Harin Fernando.
