Former Attorney General Dappula de Livera was summoned to the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) today (19). He was reportedly summoned to record a statement regarding a statement he made regarding the Easter attack before he retired from office,
Commenting on this, Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa said that Dappula de Livera had stated that “a grand conspiracy is underway regarding the April 2019 ester attack” and due to his statement, there is some doubt regarding the investigations.
Minister Rajapaksa further said that the former Attorney General Dappula de Livera has been summoned before the Terrorism Investigation Division to find out on what information he made the above statement and why he made such a statement.
