Zimbabwe, Namibia qualify for 2020 T20 tournament

The African qualifiers for the 2026 T20 Men’s World Cup, co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India, are currently underway in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe and Namibia qualified for the 2026 T20 tournament after winning their semi-finals yesterday.

Namibia became the first team to qualify for the World Cup by defeating Tanzania in the first semi-final of the eight-team tournament.

Hosts Zimbabwe then defeated Kenya in the second semi-final to secure their place in the World Cup. South Africa have already qualified directly for the World Cup. Accordingly, they will be joined by Namibia and Zimbabwe in the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup will feature 20 teams.
