A proposal has been submitted by the Women Parliamentarians’ Forum to bring the marriage age in this country to a common age. The committee, chaired by Minister Saroja Savitri Paulraj, discussed the matter when it met in Parliament.
It has been proposed to obtain proposals from civil society organizations and relevant parties to prepare the necessary amendments to bring the marriage age to a common age, and to prepare final recommendations through the Forum.
