A new gazette announcement has been issued allowing female judges and lawyers to wear comfortable clothes for judicial duties.
Thus, female lawyers are allowed to wear white blouse and black coat and black pants with shoes or white blouse and black skirt with black coat and shoes. However earlier permission was given only for white, black, white, gray and tops and sarees.
According to the new dress, the length of trousers should extend to the ankles and the length of skirts should be below the knee when seated.
In addition, the shirt or blouse should have a high neck and long sleeves. However, the attire for judges and lawyers remains unchanged
