Reports are circulating that Ishara Sewwandi, who is said to be the mastermind behind the shooting death of Ganemulla Sanjeewa at the Aluthgama court, has fled to the Maldives. It is said that she was taken to the Maldives by sea by a powerful underworld leader who is abroad.
It was initially suspected that Ishara Sewwandi may have fled to India and accordingly, all information regarding her has already been shared by the Sri Lankan security forces with the Indian intelligence services.
