A group of development officers working as teacher assistants will continue their protests in front of the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo today.
The protest was held demanding that their jobs be made permanent and the group accuses the government of neglecting to integrate them into the teaching service after making election promises.
They also said that they are issuing an open challenge to the Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe and Member of Parliament Chandana Suriyaarachchi to participate in a public debate on this issue.
