It has now been confirmed that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the National People’s Power will not participate in the discussion to be held today at the Presidential Secretariat between the members of the International Monetary Fund and the opposition politicians.
Although the government said that this discussion was organized as per the request of Samagi Jana Balawega MP Harshada Silva, he says that he did not make such a request. Further comenting on this, he said that he requested a discussion with the creditors and not with the International Monetary Fund.
However, political sources say that a representative of the T.N.A is likely to join the discussion.
