The United States of America has imposed a ban on North West Province Governor, former Navy Commander Admiral of Fleet Wasantha Karnagoda from entering the country.
The US State Department stated that the ban is in place for alleged human rights violations committed during his time in the Navy.
US Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken points out that the ban was imposed on both Wasantha Karnagoda and his wife Smt. Ashoka Karnagoda.
